Domain mapping issue. "Domain currently mapped", not showing up

    Hello,
    I am having some difficulty, most likely self inflicted, with mapping my hosted site onceuponaparchment.com to my wordpress domain.

    Essentially it appears the the site was mapped to the wordpress domain, then the domain was deleted, or is not there anymore. I created a new wordpress domain to map to (I believe it has the same title, which I thought was a no go), but it now says that the domain is already mapped. My account shows the upgrade for mapping, but does not show the previous site. So is there a way to cancel the previous mapping? Or another way around this issue???

    Hi there,

    It looks like the domain onceuponaparchment.com, which is registered at TuCows.com, is pointed to a site that is hosted by iPage. That site has the free WordPress software available at WordPress.org installed on it.

    Here’s a page that describes the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    I can see the iPage hosted site when I go to http://www.onceuponaparchment.com/. Is this the site you want to set up, or do you want a site hosted at WordPress.com that uses the domain name onceuponaparchment.com?

    You don’t need to set up domain mapping at WordPress.com for your site at iPage. WordPress.com is only for sites that are hosted on WordPress.com, not other webhosts.

    Let me know if you would like to keep your site hosted at iPage, or have your site hosted on WordPress.com using the domain onceuponaparchment.com.
