I keep getting the following message from using my Go Daddy domain to redirect to the Word Press site:

‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.’

The name servers on Go Daddy are WordPress and seem to be correct, so I’m waondering what the issue is here?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello!

Can you please tell us which is the website link you need help with?

The DNS for your domaing pointing to WordPress.com servers should be the ones below:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Also, from my opinion, you should talk with GoDaddy support here: https://uk.godaddy.com/help

    Hello,

The wordpress site is gbconsultingassociates.wordpress.com, and the domain with go daddy is gbconsultingassociates.com.

The name servers I’m using are NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM.

I spoke with Go Daddy but they said it was something on the wordpress end as the site is hosted with them.

    Hi seanbleo2015,

To being able to use domain mapping on WordPress.com you would need to upgrade to a paid plan. Once you have upgraded to a paid plan you would have the option the map your existing domain to WordPress.com.

If you have already upgrade, please take a look at this document for steps to map your domain: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

If you have upgraded and have followed the steps and you are still getting this error, we can have the post tagged to have one of WordPress.com Happiness Engineer take a look.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Ok thanks, has this been changed in the past few years? I believe when my colleague set it up he was able to use domain mapping without paying?

    Hi seanbleo2015,

Domain mapping has always been a paid service, it use to be offered as a stand-alone option but now it is only available through an upgraded plan.

    I hope this helps
