domain mapping (modlook)

    I would like to reset my profjcbpublications.com domain as it is valid until October 2017. I deleted it from my wordpress.com account but I think it is technically possible to restart it on my wordpress.com account because I have proof of his payment. It is still valid on my GoDaddy registrar.
    The address of the blog concerned is profjcbblog.wordpress.com.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain.

    Once you’ve purchased this, then you are ready to map profjcbpublications.com to profjcbblog.wordpress.com

    I linked my profjcbpublications.com domain to my FREE wordpress.com account by buying the 1600 yen mapping domain. I did not need to upgrade for doing that the first time. Your answer is not satisfying.

    Hello –

    I’ve added the domain mapping subscription for profjcbpublications.com to map to profjcbblog.wordpress.com.

    Because you have an older account it is not required that you have a plan upgrade to do this.

    I see that you originally paid for this back on October 2nd. The new domain mapping upgrade that I have added to your account will keep that original expiration date of 10/2/2017.

    kmk3s – Not all user accounts require an upgraded plan for domain mapping.

    It’s good to learn that older accounts don’t require an upgrade for this.

    profjcbpublications.com expires in less than 7 days! Uh oh!
    The domain profjcbpublications.com will expire on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Visitors to profjcbpublications.com will not see “Profjcb publications”.
    To keep your domain, it has to be renewed yearly. Renewing expired domains becomes more costly and complicated as time goes by. Renew this domain now before it’s too late.

    Renew now
    for one more year
    To address this issue, renew your domain, or cancel and remove it from your site. Renewing will ensure your ownership of this domain for another year. Canceling will immediately remove the domain from your site, and it will eventually be available for public registration again. Only cancel this domain if you are sure you will never need it in the future.

    Well, I plan to renew it in October, not in two days or this month because I paid it to be valid until October 2017…

    Today, I updated the DNS myself but I do not want to renew my domain mapping on WordPress now because it is still valid until October.

    So, is it technically possible to do that? I noticed that you added today (Feb 7, 2017) a new domain mapping ($0.00 amount) into my wordpress.com account. Can you explain further the procedure…

    Notice that https://profjcbpublications.com (primary domain) does work now but your message is still visible. I plan to renew my domain in October. Can you change that too? Thank you in advance.

    Good Morning –

    You may have received a notification for your 2 factor authorization as I took a look at your purchases screen to view the message you described.

    I mistakenly entered Feb 10th (02-10) rather than the original October expiration date of 10-2 which is why you were still seeing that red message. You should no longer see it when you navigate to /me/purchases/
