Domain mapping not showing

  Hi guys, I bought a new domain a few days back and tried to map it to my blog. I bought a domain registration upgrade by paying 13$.
  Followed the steps. But one mistake i made is i went ahead and registered my new domain and then updated name servers on my domain vendor’s site. Which i think is not a problem. Or is it?
  My question is now the blog is not getting redirected to my domain name which is not working. they say i have to wait 2-48 hours for the change to happen. Just wanted to know if i have to do anything more or did anything wrong till now
