Domain Mapping not Working

  I registered the domain http://www.financialclay.com with 1and1.com on 3/25 and changed the nameservers at 1and1.com on 3/30. WordPress has mapped the domain to my blog financialclay.wordpress.com. The problem is the name servers still have not fully propagated. I have no idea what to do and 1and1 says it’s a WordPress problem and WordPress says it’s a 1and1 problem. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

  It looks like the system never put in a zone record for your domain. :(

  I’ve manually added the record, and it appears to be working properly now.

  I am having a very similar problem with my site as well. I had everything working fine today up until about an hour ago. and now every time I type in the url bejones.com I get forwarded straight to the Godaddy.com site that says they have parked my domain for free.

  You did do Domain Mapping here at WordPress.COM as the upgrade? When did you change things?

  It can take 24 to 72 hours for everything to settle down but things usually start sooner, you can also have problems with local caching of data by your ISP

  PS – for your “Contact Me” think about using a Contact Form to get your email address off the internet and cut down on Spam to you.

  I did the domain mapping here at wordpress.COM today. I know it says it takes 72 hours at most and I was prepared for that, but it only took about 10 min. I could type in http://www.bejones.com and get the blog. Now its not working, not sure why it reverted back to not showing anything.

  It’s with good intention that you created a new thread I’m sure, but it just confuses people when there are duplicate threads.

  Thanks for the help… I think its working now. I was just confused as to why it would stop for a while then start back up again.
