Domain mapping not working

I am incredibly confused. I really am having difficulty setting up my blog, So i went and changed the settings with the domain so that it links to my wordpress blog. Now the blog i am trying to have as my main website is http://www.thompsonoptometrists.co.nz which i have suppossedly mapped the domain to but whenever i type the link it it goes to thompsoneyecare.wordpress.com which is a blog i have deleted as it had nothing on it. I really need help with this and as soon as possible would be great.

Okay, I have gotten that straightened out. You may need to clear your browser’s cache if you are still sent to the wrong site.
Let me know if you are seeing things correctly.
