Domain mapping not working

    I already had a domain name (www.heidisbusiness.com) and followed the mapping instructions for my blog/website. It works, however, on the address bar it shows as “www.heidisonlinebusiness.wordpress.com. That’s not what I want. I assumed, when I paid $9.95 I would get the rights to have the domain show up without the “wordpress”. How can this be done?
    My other question is, I would like to direct my blog and have it read http://www.heidisbusiness.com/blog – how do I do that?

    You cannot map to a subdirectory ( /blog/ ) at wordpress.COM. You can map to a subdomain such as blog/heidisbusiness.com/ though by using a CNAME record.

    Also, it can take up to 24 hours and sometimes more for the domain mapping change to work its way through all of the internet nameservers.

    Look though this support document on domain mapping and make sure that you have done all the steps: http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/ . It also talks about the subdomain thing as well.
