Domain Mapping Not Working 72 hours after
-
Three days ago I set the domain mapping to my own domain. Set the proper nameservers and I’m pretty sure I followed all of the instructions properly, but I’m still not getting anything on my domain. Can this take longer than 72 hours or are there any other explanations why it may not have gone through?
Thanks in advance.

Ok, thank you. I probably just screwed something up, but I can’t seem to figure out what it would have been.

For when the staff gets here (or anyone else who may be able to help):
Here is where the wordpress should map to: http://annarborcinema.com/
The wordpress validation check says it can read my nameservers from godaddy and that they are correct; does not give me the hold your horses, wait up to 72 hours; and says it is set as my primary domain.
My godaddy diagnostics say that I have no nameservers set for the domain, yet when I go to the nameservers section, they are the proper ones for wordpress.
Also, this dns propagation check – http://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/annarborcinema.com – says I am not getting anything all over the world.
I don’t know what to make of this.
Help is very much appreciated. -
It looks like you purchased the site redirect upgrade instead of the domain mapping one. I swapped the site redirect upgrade out for a domain mapping one and your domain now correctly loads your WordPress.com blog.

Hi I have the exact same problem regarding http://www.element-agency.com
I created a blog on WP, then mapped my domain to WP(including changing the nameservers to ns1.wordprss.com …etc from dreamhost)
I cant preview the site from my dashboard within WP nor can I access the login via
the url: element-agency.com/wordpress/wp-adminPlease help!!!!

I’m able to access your site at http://www.element-agency.com. How long ago did you change the DNS? It can take up to 72 hours for it to fully propagate.
Also if you want to access the backend of your site you would use this link:
http://www.element-agency.com/wp-admin/ (no “wordpress”) -
http://www.element-agency.com – loads fine for me – it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate to the far corners of the internet and it has been less than 72 hours
You will be the last one to see the changes due to cache issues

PS – element-agency.com/wordpress/wp-admin is the log-in for a WordPress.ORG install not a WordPress.COM site –
When your mapped site resolves there is a log in from the front page

You be welcome
