Hi n00ak,
I am using the hosting service on GoDaddy but somehow WordPress is still asking me to pay for domain mapping.
It sounds like you want to redirect the traffic from myweeklyfifty.wordpress.com to a site hosted by GoDaddy. Is that correct?
Once I know for sure, I’ll be able to give you more information.

I tried the site redirect option, but when I wrote to support that it wasn’t working they reimbursed me. Now I still cannot link the two.
But yes, basically I want to be able to use my domain for my blog. -

myweeklyfifty.com can be connected to your WordPress.com site with domain mapping:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Domain mapping is a feature of all paid plans — Personal, Premium and Business. Once it is fully set up, myweeklyfifty.com will be displayed in your browser’s address bar instead of myweeklyfifty.wordpress.com.

The site redirect didn’t work because it directs traffic away from your WordPress.com site. Domain mapping works differently and connects a domain to your WordPress.com site.
I’m happy to answer any questions you have.
