domain mapping not working "no zone file"

My domain name is still not mapping. More than 72 hours since I mapped it to my wordpress blog. When I check it says that the domain was verified and that it should redirect but it doesn’t. I checked with my domain provider and they looked and found that wordpress has no “zone” file for my blog. How can I resolve this. Very frustrating. Here is what they actually told me. As you can see here, there are no settings returned from ns2.wordpress.com) for your domain name And usually there should be A record and SOA record ( is also called zone file

There is no domain mapping upgrade on mommymuslim.wordpress.com. However, I can see you’ve purchased a Site Redirect for mommymuslim.com. A Site Redirect will let you redirect traffic from mommymuslim.wordpress.com to another site.
Do you want to visitors to mommymuslim.wordpress.com to see the domain, mommymuslim.com, in their browser’s address bar?
Just let me know and we’ll go from there.

And I thought with the free site I could change that at any time. When I went to put in the new domain it told me I had to pay the 13 for the site redirect. I am so confused and now I dont have ANY site showing at all. Please help

I wanted when people visit my site to see mommymuslim.com, instead of (email visible only to moderators and staff)
In order to do this, mommymuslim.com will need to be connected to your WordPress.com site with domain mapping instead:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Domain mapping is a feature of all paid plans — Personal, Premium and Business. Each plan includes a domain credit which can be used for domain mapping (or to register a new domain).
If you would like to go ahead with this, just let me know and I can cancel and refund the Site Redirect you have already purchased. It isn’t doing what you want so there is no need to keep it :)
I can then guide you through the process of getting your domain working on your site.

I don’t understand. I don’t think I need a domain mapping. I went to view my domain. It shows my primarydomain is mommymuslim.wordpress.com. It also give a button where it says do you own your own domain. I do. It says add to your site FOR FREE. I want to know… HOW?

A free plan uses a _____.wordpress.com domain (yours being mommymuslim.wordpress.com). To use a custom domain such as mommymuslim.com, you would need to purchase a WordPress.com plan and set up Domain Mapping as described by gemmacevans above.

I understand. Can I just cancel the site redirect and revert my site to it’s original address. with the wordpress.com domain. This process is too complicated. I want to just leave it as it was. Right now on one can access my site at all.

I am not having any trouble accessing https://mommymuslim.wordpress.com/ . What do you see when you visit that URL?

It shows mommymuslim.com and then an error showing Firefox can’t find the server at mommymuslim.com.. I will try to clear my cache and see what happens.
