PROBLEM MAPPING GODADDY DOMAIN TO WORDPRESS.COM BLOG

    URL: howiwastetime.com

I have changed the name servers and according to the Domain Helper, they are correct.

However, the DNS lookup returns the following:

    ———————————————–

    ; <<>> DiG 9.8.4-rpz2+rl005.12-P1 <<>> NS howiwastetime.com
    ;; global options: +cmd

Notice the “SERVFAIL” in the status line.”

For a brief time, after changing the name servers, when I put the URL in an address bar I got a notice that “this site is temporarily unavailable.” After about an hour, instead of seeing that, I now get a “This webpage is not available” notice and the details say “The webpage at http://howiwastetime.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.”

It’s been about 12 hours. I know it can take up to 72, but is it that – or is it that I’ve done something wrong?

When I first checked my settings, wordpress.com said that URL was already mapped to a wordpress.com site – but I don’t think it was.

I have used several browsers and cleared the cache.

I had already bought the “site redirect” for $13/year. That’s what I need to get a GoDaddy domain to point to a wordpress.com blog, right?

    Thanks.
