Domain mapping problems

    Hello,

I need your help as this is the first time I use WordPress in an scenario like this.
we purchased a domain from an external provider and, in first term, configured our own mail service properly (service, and domain issues).

Then, we wanted to deploy a web site via WordPress, we opened this account, and added a domain mapping. We followed your guidelines and changed de DNS servers on our domain registrar to point NSx.WORDPRESS.COM. As you can imagine, email stopped working and had to rollback.

What do we have to do to point http://www.t-empleamos.com to WordPress and keep our mail.t-empleamos.com working outside?

    Thanks in advanced

    Hi templeamos

In order to do that, you’ll have to set up the custom domain at WordPress.com as you did, and then set MX records to the external mail server.

Since I’m only a volunteer, I don’t have access to your backend, so I’ll tag this thread as modlook then WordPress.com staff can take a look and help you.

    Good luck.
