Domain mapping problems
-
Hi Guys.
Can you please tell me why after mapping my domain (gpeynon.com), whenever I try to go to my blog it takes me to a GoDaddy page? I do not want GoDaddy to host my site, I simply want my WP site to now be under gpeynon.com.
Second, I would like to cancel the domain, thegreenreviewblog.com from my WP account (and get a refund if that’s possible as it’s within 28 days) but I cannot find the cancel buttons or the automatic renew button either.
Thanks for you help,.
Best wishes,

It looks like your name servers aren’t pointed to WordPress.com. Can you change them to the following at GoDaddy?
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COMInstructions can be found here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#how-to-change-your-name-servers
Your domain should begin working shortly after that!

It looks like that domain is owned under a different user account. The request for cancellation will need to come from the user that owns the domain. Do you potentially have multiple accounts at WordPress.com?
Just a note, according to the public record for that domain, it looks like it was registered on 5/17/14. The cancellation window for domains is two days (other upgrades are 30 days) so unfortunately, we will not be able to issue a refund. However, if create a cancellation thread request from the account that owns the domain, I can definitely help you cancel the domain so you will not be charged again in the future.
