Domain mapping purchase

I’ve just attempted to renew the domain mapping for our church’s website, using my credit card, and I get this message: ‘This subscription was originally purchased by another user. Please ask the subscription owner to renew the subscription.’
The ‘other user’ has moved away, and I’d like the subscription in my name, but don’t see a way to change that. Is there a way?

I was finally able to renew, but only because I was able to contact the person who had moved away, who gave me his login credentials for the site, which were different from mine. Then I was able to change the email address associated with the subscription, and use my own credit card.
