Domain Mapping Query

    Hi,

    Left WordPress for Squarespace, set up a domain (garidavies.me.uk) for the new site…. had enough of Squarespace and want to come back to WordPress.com.

    Two quick probably shamefully basic Search Engine / file structure questions if someone doesn’t mind confirming:

    Will my URL automatically update… i.e. if it was darkaeon.wordpress.com/test, the link would update to garidavies.me.uk/test in Search results and when typed into the URL bar?

    What will happen to the records that I already have on garidavies.me.uk for my old blog? Will they just 404?

    These questions are all that’s stopping me coming back I think, especially as my blog does rather well on WP, so would be really grateful if someone more techy than I could spare a moment to help me out!
