domain mapping question need help

  I am trying to buy the domain mapping service for this blog, so I will not have .wordpress in the address. Instructions tell me to change DNS, however, at the same time I am switching web hosts from godaddy to bluehost, so I already changed the DNS names at register.com to bluehost’s DNS settings. Not sure which step to do first, and which second, in accomplishing the goal of moving the site’s host while also having the simplified website address without ‘wordpress’ in it. Can anyone help?

  Hi. Could you please clarify? If your site is hosted by WordPress.com, what does Bluehost have to do with it? Or are you moving from Bluehost to WordPress.com?
