Domain Mapping Refund Question
-
I requested a refund for domain mapping upgrade for the domain hollykaufman.com. I am having issues between the host provider and wordpress and getting email to work. Now that I’ve requested the refund, my blog posts don’t work. Can I just cancel the refund request (sent today)?
I don’t know how to fix past blog posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The refund was already sent out earlier today and http://hollsandlolah.wordpress.com/ appears to be working just fine.
Are you still having trouble accessing it?

I am able to access the blog, but my previously published posts land on an error page. How do I fix that to ensure all my past posts are visable?

Ok, those links will no longer work because the domain mapping was canceled and refunded.
The correct current link for that post would be: http://hollsandlolah.wordpress.com/2013/03/10/understanding-ptsd-triggers-2/

Okay. Is there an option for domain mapping upgrade, and registering a domain through WordPress. I know that is an option for a new domain.
I’d really like to just transfer all blog tools and necessities to WordPress, whrere appropriate.
I would rather be able to have all the services I need all “under one roof”, so to speak.
Thanks very much for your help.

You could certainly register the domain with us, but that would involve canceling it through your registrar, which I do not recommend as the domain will become their property and won’t be returned to the public market until they choose to do so.
In my opinion, it’s really just best to map it: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

They are giving me the option to transfer to domain to another registrar, but I haven’t seen that option available to me through WordPress.
The domain map is the second best option, but then I’m stuck with my original email issues.

I need to map the domain back again, then. What a hassle, all over trying to get email capabilities. So, can the charge be stopped, or does the refund have to process and then in turn, process a new domain mapping upgrade.
Will there be issues with the domain availability?

No, the refund was already sent yesterday, but you can re-map the domain at any time following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Then, you can setup your email following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/
