Domain mapping removal

Last year I had mapped my domain through Go Daddy to WordPress. I would like to remove that mapping. It expired four months ago. A few days ago I reset the DNS Settings at Go Daddy back to default to remove the WordPress credentials. However, it has yet to release it and is directing me to WordPress.com’s error page about renewing my domain mapping. Oddly enough Go Daddy says I’m good to go and it should be live.
I’ve cleared the cache on both browsers in my mobile device. Cleared the cache on both browsers on desktop…all browsers and device platforms are experiencing the same issue. Maybe it’s something in the background. If you could double check and cancel all the mapping items on the account that would be terrific.
    The domain is http://www.ave2e.com
Ave2e.wordpress.com is my free site, if you need that.

The forums all show that a thread requesting this needs to be submitted in order to acquire assistance for this subject.
    Thanks in advance.

  • When you change domain settings, your computer and internet provider can sometimes cache the DNS settings. You’re not seeing how others see the site, but a saved location for the previous name servers. I see your site with a GoDaddy Website Builder footer credit.

You can try to clear your DNS cache, or look at the site from another internet connection. Keep in mind DNS takes up to 72 hours to fully propagate across the internet. There’s nothing more to do at WordPress.com! The mapping has already been removed.
