Domain Mapping Renewal

We need to renew our domain mapping, but it will only allow the original purchaser to do this. That user is no longer with our organization. How do we renew our domain mapping if that users account cannot be accessed? We can’t have this feature disabled as no one will be able to find our site. Please advise.

Hi there,
Only the owner of an upgrade can renew it, so if you have no way of contacting the current owner and asking them to transfer the upgrade to you, the only other option is to let it expired and then have another admin on the site re-purchase it.
However, please note that when a domain is cancelled or expires there is a waiting period before another username account can add the same domain. Someone else adding the domain will also be required to add a plan to do it, unless they already own other domains.
The user, musicaltheatreworks, is also the owner of the site itself, so long term it will really be better if you can have that user transfer the entire site, along with both upgrades (I also see a Custom Design upgrade on the site) to another admin. That will avoid problems regarding upgrade and site ownership down the line.
