Domain mapping- renewal failure

  • Unknown's avatar

My domain (saintraymond.net) mapping renewal failed and when I try to renew it through our new login for our site (saintraymondnet.wordpress.com) I get an error telling me the domain map is not possible because the ‘domain was recently in use by someone else’. It tells me to ‘try again later’ without specifiying how long I must wait. Can someone expedite this? It is my church’s website, and there will be confusion until it is working again. Grateful for your help and assistance.

  • Hi there,

Do you still have access to the account that used to own the domain? If so, please log into that account and reply here to confirm and I can help you bypass the waiting period.

Also please go to My Site ->Plans and purchase the plan you want for the site. Then I can use the free mapping upgrade in the plan to manually add the domain mapping to the site for you. We no longer sell stand-alone domain mapping upgrades, so you will need to purchase a plan in order to add the domain mapping.

I’m responding from the account that used to own the saintraymond.net domain mapping upgrade. Thank you for your help.

I’m sorry— wrong account above. I’m now responding from the account that used to own the saintraymond.net domain mapping upgrade. Thank you for your help.

  • Thank you for confirming. I’ve added the mapping upgrade to your account and linked it to your plan, so everything should be working again now.
