Domain mapping renewal with different user

  Hi, I have taken over administration of a blog and the domain mapping is due to expire in a few weeks. The previous administrator (who is still an admin of the blog) purchased the domain mapping upgrade, but it is now my responsibility. On the ‘Store->My Upgrades’ page I can see that the other admin had purchased this last year, and when he is logged in he has a link allowing him to renew it, but when I view the page I only have the message that it is expiring, and there is no link to renew it.

  Is it possible for this role to be transferred to the wordpress user kaimanawahorse so that they can renew it?

  Hello benmoores42,

  The original owner may transfer the site and all upgrades to another user by following the guide provided here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  Once the site has been transferred you will be able to make the payment from the new account.

  Hi, I’ve received the email saying “You are now the owner of the blog ‘kaimanawa.wordpress.com'”, but I don’t think it has worked.

  The mapping upgrade is still listed as ‘purchased by Kefyn’, and on the ‘My Blogs’ page it doesn’t say that I’m the owner (and there is no option to ‘transfer blog’ which makes me think I’m not the owner).

  The user which should be the owner of kaimanawa.wordpress.com is kaimanawahorse . Is there anything else the old owner needs to do?

  We are using the ‘kaimanawahorse’ user as an account that can be used by whoever on the committee is elected as the IT person. That is why it’s not being transferred to ‘kaimanawahorse’ and not my ‘BenMoores42’ account.

  I should have looked closer, I am the owner of the blog, the ‘transfer blog’ option is only visible when hovering the mouse over it :)

  But the domain mapping upgrade is still listed as ‘Purchased by Kefyn’. Are you able to switch that to me?

  The domain mapping should be able to be transferred like the blog was – just start in the My Upgrades section of the Admin that bought the Upgrade

  And if the domain mapping can’t be transferred for some reason you can buy it again with a different account – but the staff might need to clear the expired records for you

  Hello again,

  I do see the owner of the blog was recently changed. To make things as easy as possible for you I have sent a private email to the current Upgrade owner. If the approve the transfer of the mapping I’ll get it taken care of.
