domain mapping renewel

i can’t find the option to pay to renew my domain mapping. just seems to be telling me to upgrade my plan instead.

Howdy kothea1!
To be able to Map your domain you need to be subscribed with a WordPress Plan
You now can avail the service, with any of the Paid Plan, you can read more about it here Map Your Existing Domain
After you subscribe for a Paid Plan you can then go to
MySites—>Domain and follow the steps in the Map your Existing Domain document.

do I have to buy a plan AND do I then ALSO have to pay additional for the domain mapping

Nope, you don’t have to pay for Domain Mapping, each Paid Plan has one Custom Domain Credit, you just buy the Plan and follow the steps.
You just have to pay for the Plan only.
Also, if you don’t have a domain and want to register a New one, you can do so as well.
The Paid plan gives you a credit to either Register a New Domain or Map your Existing Domain..!

Can you confirm which upgrade you need to renew domain mapping for? I can see you’ve purchased a plan on the account you are logged in to but there are no recent domain mapping upgrades. If you let me know, I’ll see what I can find.

it is blog.kothea.com that i have mapped ie the subdomain.
previosuly i had paid for that mapping as an individual item i believe
I was notified the mapping expired in about 2 more days
1. do i have to do anything to keep this mapping working?
2. did i need to have the upgrade to do it (if not please cancel the upgrade) -

The domain mapping upgrade for blog.kothea.com is owned by another account — please login as kothea or ask them to renew from their Manage Purchases page.
I’ve cancelled and refunded the plan you purchased using the account you are logged in to now (kothea1) and there is a copy of the refund receipt in your Billing History:

If you have any problems with the domain mapping renewal, just login and reply here as kothea and I’ll take a look.
