Domain Mapping Screw up
-
Please could someone help me? I had a dot com blog(stephenandbayne.com) purchased through WP which ran out. I then bought another domain name through GoDaddy (thrivespa.co.uk) and went through the mapping process with the existing WP blog. However when I go to the new site it says I can’t access this blog from this domain as it has expired. I now realise I want to keep the original stephenandbayne.com in addition to thrivespa.co.uk. Is it possible to start another WP site, mapping thrivespa.co.uk, and then somehow reactivate stephenandbayne.com? I realise I would need to pay a secondary mapping cost and renewal fee but am not sure about the best fix solution. I know; I’m an idiot!! Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have flagged this for the staff to help – they will need to help you with the renewal of stephenandbayne.com.
No need to start a new or second blog – you can map more than one name to the same blog – but only one name can be “Primary” (the one visitors see in their browser)

Oh thank you! I have a few blogs with WP so will be able to keep the two separate…if someone can help me! My goal is to have both up and running.
Many thanks again and I will wait to hear from the staff.

Hi there,
I now realise I want to keep the original stephenandbayne.com in addition to thrivespa.co.uk. Is it possible to start another WP site, mapping thrivespa.co.uk, and then somehow reactivate stephenandbayne.com?
Sure thing! First, you can renew your domain stephenandbayne.com from your My Upgrades page. (You’ll see the late renewal fee added to the regular renewal when you check out.)
From that same My Upgrades page, you can also transfer your domain thrivespa.co.uk to a different site you own. If you want to create a new site for that domain, make sure you’re logged in to your account and then head to the signup page:
https://signup.wordpress.com/start/
Once you’ve created the new site, you can go back to the My Upgrades page to move your domain there.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
