domain mapping set up backwards
-
Hi all.
I just purchased this option for our 2nd blog, jerryandloisphotography. However, comparing how the mapping appears on my wordpress control panel, the mapping looks like it’s going
FROM “blog.jerryandlois.com”
TO jerryandloisphotography.wordpress.com.This is the exact opposite of what I want (and opposite of the mapping of our other blog that is working correctly).
How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Jerry

Please don’t put your email in the forums! You are just asking for spam. Mods – please remove.
In your dashboard under upgrades>domains, you should see both of the urls listed. Under the Function column, blog.jerryandlois.com should say “Your blog URL”
If it does not, and instead it says, “Redirecting to jerryandloisphotography.wordpress.com” click on the “put your blog here” link and that will fix it.

I assume you did this: “In your blog click Settings > Domains. Put your domain name in the box, click ‘Add domain to blog’.”, but did you complete the “Put blog here” step? i.e:
“Your domain should then appear as a choice below that button. Next to the domain name it will say “Put blog here”. Click that.”

Vivian –
Thank you for the caution on the email address (hope that’ll get deleted soon) as well as how to fix the mapping. That seems to have been the trick!
Much better now!
Again – thanks for all your support!
Jerry
