DOMAIN MAPPING/TRANSFER

I purchased a website domain and want to transfer it to my WordPress site. GoDaddy has a two month lock in before I can transfer this domain. can I map the domain for now and then transfer later on. I just want to make sure that if map the domain, I’ll be able to actually do the transfer later on. I’d rather have everything on wordpress.
one more question – Do you know the best plugin for WordPress to host a summit but I want to pre record all the interviews ahead of time and not stream live day of the summit ideally I would like it to be automatic instead of having to actually share my screen or anything

Good question on that. The video streaming part wouldn’t really need a plugin, just a plan that supports videos. But ticket purchasing, giving links only to the people who paid for them, and all of that may require a plugin, and its features would depend on your specific needs.
Also, to be clear, WordPress.com does require a Business or eCommerce plan if you need to add outside plugins:
