Hi!
I followed you until the point where you mentioned that you have successfully done a domain mapping.
I lost you when you said “i want to transfer the domain mapping upgrade” though.
Can you clarify what you are trying to achieve here and I can help further.

Hi strikebuys,
Sorry, I am not an IT guy.
I first bought a personal plan and mapped my domain successfully.
Now I cancelled the plan and don’t want wordpress.com to handle my domain (Here I want another service provider/agent to handle it and I have changed the DNS to that service provide/agent’s DNS), but it seems wordpress is still handling the address resolution.
When I type in the browser the url which is supposed to be handled by the other agent, it will have the following error message:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.

Thanks for sharing the link.
From what I see this domain’s DNS entries are not managed by WordPress.com anymore. It’s using the following two nameservers.
vip1.alidns.com
vip2.alidns.comYou will have to login into your account associated with these nameservers and update the DNS entries as required.
Does it clarify things for you? Feel free to get back if you have questions.

yes, i changed it to these nameservers. But the strange thing is that when you type the link above, it will show the error message as i mention, and if you click the link “log in” in that message, you can see that the link is https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php, so it seems to me why it shows such a message.

Hi ttbx365,
Your account shows you recently cancelled domain mapping for ttbx365.com and the name servers are pointing to a site hosted elsewhere.
I’m not seeing an error when visiting ttbx365.com so you may need to clear your browser cache using these steps:
Let me know if that helps.

Hi gemmacevans,
I have cleared the browser cash as you mentioned, and unfortunately, i still can’t visit the site and the error message still show up.
-
Hi ttbx365,
Okay, thanks for trying. If you are using Chrome, you may also need to clear the DNS cache:
- Go to: chrome://net-internals/#sockets
- Click DNS
- Click Clear Host Cache
Are you still seeing the error message after following these steps and refreshing the page?

Hi gemmacevans,
I still get the error message which looks sent by wordpress.com. When you say you are not seeing an error when visiting the url, did you see a normal chinese site or a blank site or any other things?
-
Hi gemmacevans,
I just also used a completely new device to visit the url, and it still get the same error message. I just don’t understand why it seems wordpress.com is still handling the address resolution.

Hi ttbx365,
When you say you are not seeing an error when visiting the url, did you see a normal chinese site or a blank site or any other things?
I see a Chinese site which is powered by WordPress.org. Here is a screenshot of what I can see:
https://cloudup.com/ceOSN-2JTh9
The name servers are currently pointing to vip1.alidns.com and vip2.alidns.com, rather than WordPress.com. There is confirmation of this on a WHOIS lookup for the domain:
https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=ttbx365.com
It sounds like your network or Internet Service Provider could be caching the old DNS. You could try visiting the site using a mobile phone that isn’t connected to WiFi to see if that makes a difference.
