Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found

My domain was earlier mapped to the wordpress.com under the Premium subscription. After unsubscribing the Premium subscription, I have moved website hosting to other service provider where I am trying to use my domain. However I keep getting this message ‘Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found’. Seems like this domain is still mapped to WordPress.com. How can I resolve this issue?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Is this for the domain, marketsrisks.com? Your domain’s name servers are still pointing to WordPress.com. You will need to contact your domain provider and ask them to update the name servers to your new host’s. Then the domain will start showing your site at the new host.

Now it is. I had to do it because whole day I tried to troubleshoot with domain provider, host etc. etc. the above issue for no result and I did not want to leave my site down for long. I will try it again but it was really sad.

  • Keep in mind that when they change the name servers it can take up to 72 hours for the change to update, so some downtime is unavoidable. That’s not something we or they can control, but has to do with how name servers on the web work.

And even after the update completes, your browser might still show you the error message until you clear your browser cache.
