Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found
-
My website is giving the following error: ‘Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found’ It is paid for through Domains Priced Right and hosted at wordpress. DPR says its a wordpress issue. WordPress shows that the domain is included with the site and the ‘Renews:’ field says ‘never expires’.
My .com domain renewal is paid for for another year. I did not get any notification of anything expiring or needing to renew.
How do I correct this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t see any history of upgrades, domain mappings, transactions, or billing info on your account.
What is the domain name?
To use a custom domain on a WordPress.com site, you will need a Domain Mapping upgrade: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
-
It is http://www.humbugmarina.com
humbugmarina.wordpress.comThere is a page that says:
Type: Included with Site
Renews on: Never ExpiresDomains Priced Right says its a wordpress issue, but I can’t tell where to fix it.
-
@gibraltarmarinegroup can you let us know where you’re seeing that?
I was able to find that mapping was in fact previously paid for by another user, but they cancelled it.
If you’d like to add a plan to the site, we can likely add the correct mapping from our end.

When I go to WMySite, click on Domains, click the arrow to the right of humbugmarina.wordpress.com, the next page shows what I wrote above.
We changed ownership in June of 2017. At that time, the previous owners gave me the logins to make changes to the site.
I am unaware of any mapping charges/services that they may have paid for and cancelled. If that’s the case, it has been working for the past two years, so I’m surprised that they cancelled it recently. Unless you mean it recently expired and they did not renew.
How would WordPress send a renewal notice, because I have never received anything.

It was indeed cancelled recently, and refunded.
I’m looking here, and from your account I see only the free domain:
https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/humbugmarina.wordpress.comPerhaps your browser is caching things heavily. The domain mapping was cancelled by the upgrade owner several days ago.

The notice goes to the upgrade owner. You would not have received the notice, because the upgrade was being paid for through another account.
If you’d like to map the domain, please add a plan here:
https://wordpress.com/plans/humbugmarina.wordpress.comThen update us in this thread. We’ll need to add the mapping since the previous mapping for that domain was only cancelled a week or so ago.

I added the premium plan. Is there anything that I need to do on this end to help get it mapped?
-
I have added that domain mapping for you, and the domain should now be loading your site again.
An important note, though:
ryanfromdetroitstill owns the site. As in, our system sees that username as the site owner, and it’s not possible to remove that user from the site. That means they are still an admin, and are able to perform actions like adding other users, changing the theme, or even completely deleting the site.If that person is no longer involved with the site, please ask them to transfer ownership of the site to your account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
Only they are able to do this. Regardless of any private agreements between you and them, we cannot switch ownership of the site to you at your request.
