Domain Mapping vs. Domain Transfer

  Hi there! I own IAmNotAfraidToLift.com under GoDaddy. Which is better to do with this domain? Domain Mapping or Domain Transfer? What is the difference? Costs I will incur etc? Thank you! ~Artemis

  Hi Artemis,

  With mapping, you keep the domain at GoDaddy. You pay for the renewals there. Domain mapping is free with your plan.

  If you transfer instead, you no longer have to pay for the domain at GoDaddy. You pay for it here instead (current pricing is $18/year) though you do get your first year free.
