Domain mapping without upgraded account?

  Hi there!
  I used to have domain mapping to use my blog (jorgefarah.wordpress.com) through my godaddy domain (jorgefarah.com). It was an option that allowed me to keep my free blog while only paying for the domain mapping, which I believe was somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 USD.
  This expired at some point last year, and I would like to return to it.

  However, it appears that now I am unable to do it without upgrading to a paid WordPress account? Is there any way to ONLY pay for Domain Mapping without upgrading?

  Hi there,

  Single upgrades like domain mapping have been discontinued a couple of years ago, therefore the only way to map your domain again is to purchase one of our plans first.
