domain mapping works only sometimes

    my personal domain mrinaldesai.com is registered with bigrock.in. i want to map this domain to my wordpress blog mrinaldesai.wordpress.com. i followed the instructions as detailed (changed the DNS at bigrock) and paid for the upgrade (at wordpress-store-domains) and initially it seemed to work. the problem now is that half the time it works and half the time it comes up as an error 404. i can’t understand the problem. please help.

    I am seeing mrinaldesai.com point correctly to your WordPress.com site.

    It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency. If you are still not seeing the correct site appear after 48 hours has elapsed, please contact me again.

    you’re right… it seems to be working all the time now. i guess i was being impatient.

    one more question i have is this :
    i purchased the avid premium theme and used it for mrinaldesai.wordpress.com. can i use the theme on another blog that i want to start on wordpress ? or is its use restricted only to that blog ?

    Its use is restricted to a single blog. I can, however, transfer it to the new blog if you would prefer to use it there rather than on the original blog.
