Domain mapping works…sub-domain doesn’t
-
My domain mapping finally works. Now, I have a new problem with my domain http://www.30-fps.com. I read in the forum before I did the domain mapping, that if I want to still see my old site in http://www.30-fps.com, I would have to make sub-domain, which I did. When I finally did the domain mapping and tried to access my sub-domain, test.30-fps.com, I could not access it. I reported it to support of my service provider, which ixwebhosting.com, and they said that I can’t access the files because my nameservers are not pointing to ixwebhosing. They suggested I change it back to ixwebhosting to be able to view my files. (They gave me another option for accessing the files though, but not using the sub-domain I created, and was able to access download files that way.)
Is what they are telling me correct? The only way to view http://www.test.30-fps.com, is to point back my dns nameservers to ixwebhosting.com, which will get rid of my domain mapping. Could somebody suggest another way? -
I’m not entirely sure what you want? You can’t have your website be a subdomain of your WP.com blog. It just doesn’t work that way. The opposite does work; the WP.com blog as a subdomain of the main site. Sounds like you’re doing it backwards?
