domain mapping – wp.com to wp.org

  i’m having trouble pointing my domain to my hostgator account…. i have a registered domain that i purchased in a wp.com bundle….i recently purchased hosting through hostgator and installed wp.org with this host….how do i point my domain ??

  You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the domain for it. If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.
