Domain Masking (Frame)

I’m currently using 1and1 to register my domain. I’ve set it up so that there is domain masking, making my site.com direct to site.wordpress.com. I had to option of setting it up as a Frame Mask or an HTTP. The frame mask works best because it keep my site.com URL in the address bar. However when I get to my wordpress site some links and functions are no longer able to work. Plus if you click on a link within the site, it takes to to the appropriate site link but it keep my site.com as the url. Am I doing something wrong, or is this how Frame Masking works?
