Hi ktugruw,
Could you please turn off the privacy and unlock from the register so we can start the domain transfer process to dreamhost.com.
There are no domains owned by the account you are logged in to. Which would you like to transfer? Once I know more, I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Thanks!

Yes, I have micoregon.org associate with the account. I think this was bought by user: virginialuka but I transfer the ownership. Please let me know if you need anything.
Thank you.

Hi ktugruw,
Thanks for confirming — I think there was a glitch earlier because the domain wasn’t showing on your account, but I can see it now :)
I’ve disabled privacy on the domain and you can begin the transfer using the steps in this guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/
Come back to me if you have any questions along the way.

Thank you. I see that it is unlocked. However, since the contact email is for an old user could you please send the transfer code to my email: (email visible only to moderators and staff). I updated the contact email but I had to wait for another 5 days to process. I don’t have 5 days because I need to get this domain transfer ASAP. Thank you for you help.

So I tried to transfer micoregon.org to dreamhost and I process the transfer on the dreamhost side and approved it but then I got the Domain Registration Transfered REJECTED for micoregon.org because probably I changed the email address when you unlocked the domain. I did change the email because the old user is not managing our website anymore. I didn’t know that if I changed the contact info it would locked the domain for another 90 days. Can someone pls help me out to unlock it so I can transfer the domain again to dreamhost? I cannot wait till August for the transfer. We need to design our website ASAP for our summer events. Please let me know ASAP if you need anything else from me. I would be happy to help our to resolve this issue soon. Again, I appreciate your help and I’m looking forward to hear back from you soon. Thank you, -Kevin

Hi ktugruw,
Changing the contact details for a domain will also cause a 60 transfer day lock. However, you can update the details again and specifically opt out of this lock. There is a screenshot of the option on this guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/update-contact-information/#email-or-name-changes
Once you have opted out of the lock, try transferring the domain again. The transfer needs to be requested from your account, it’s not something I am able to do for you.
I cannot wait till August for the transfer. We need to design our website ASAP for our summer events.
The name servers can be pointed to your DreamHost site before the transfer:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/
This means anyone visiting micoregon.org will see your DreamHost site rather than your WordPress.com site while you are waiting for the transfer to complete.
Let me know how you get on.

Ok I tried to edit the contact info but I don’t see the Opt-out of the 60-day transfer lock checkbox. Can someone help me out pls? I appreciate it.

Hi ktugruw,
If you don’t have access to the original email address, the opt out option may not be available. This is controlled by the registry and isn’t something we can bypass.
One possible option would be to change the first or last name — which may give you the option to opt out of the lock. This is more of a workaround and if it’s unsuccessful you will need to wait 60 days to transfer. In this scenario, the name servers can be pointed to your new site until the domain is ready for transfer.
