Domain – move or stay? why extra costs?

  Hi, I just signed up to fasthosts and registered a domain. There was an option to include wordpress, which I did. But now I find on my log into wordpress to start work that it costs £15 to transfer hosting to wordpress or £11 not to and keep it where it is – these costs weren’t mentioned up front (by fasthosts), can you explain / advise? need to keep costs minimal. I am new to this, thank you in advance for your help. cheers!

  You’re logged in to a WordPress.com account. WordPress.com hosts sites built with the wordpress software just as Fasthosts does. Log out here and return to Fasthosts if you have already paid them for hosting and that is where you intend to build your site.
