  I was trying to create a website jalonsullivant.com – I wanted to delete my account with WordPress for a time period but did not want to delete my domain.

  Hi there,

  You need your WordPress.com account to manage any upgrades that belong to the account, so you can’t delete the account without first cancelling all upgrades it owns :)

  I see when you cancelled your domain, you also cancelled the plan that paid for it and received a full refund.

  Do you want to use the domain here or somewhere else?

  If you want to use it on a WordPress.com site, a paid plan is required. So in that case, please buy a new paid plan at Upgrades ->Plans and let us know here once you’ve done that, and we can restore the domain.

  If you want to use it somewhere else, the simplest option is just to wait. In this case the registry will release the domain again in a few more days, and you should be able to register it as a new domain, directly with the provider where you want to use it by the start of next week.

  We can also still restore it for you, but you won’t be able to transfer it away from us until you’ve owned it for at least 60 days. If you prefer this option, we can send you a link to pay for the domain again.
