  My website is currently http://www.5iftyby5ifty.wordpress.com. If I upgrade to a custom domain name will the content of my page be altered or remain the same. Also will people still be able to get to my website from the original address? I don’t want to upgrade if people who already know the current address will no longer get to my site from that address. Thank you

  Hi.

  No worries about that. If you get a custom domain name -and you mark it as your primary domain name- any visitor to the current address will be redirected to your new domain name. Or, in other words: “Your primary domain is the address your visitors will see in their address bar when visiting your blog. All other domains will redirect to the primary domain= your primary domain will be rewritten on your visitor’s browser address bar”.

  And about the content: nothing will change, as you will use the new name with your current content.
