    Can I delete a domain name with another registrar and re register it with WordPress

    Hi there,

    I wouldn’t advise ever canceling a domain because you very well could lose the domain to someone else who registers it before you when it becomes available. Also, it’s not always certain when the domain becomes available again. So, you would have to continuously check the domain’s availability to make sure you are the first one to register when it comes available.

    What I would do is keep the domain at your host, point the nameservers over to your WordPress.com, and map the domain to WordPress.com site.
