Domain Name

    Hello, This is my second time sending the note below to you:

    I think I’ve accidentally created 2 WordPress sites, because when I go to log on, I get the error message that my user name already exists. And when I go to add my domain name, I get the error message that mariecanaves.com is already connected to a WordPress.com site.

    I created the site in February of 2021.
    It’s linked to this email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    My user name should be: mariecanaves (though it might be aliLuli)
    The domain name that I own is: mariecanaves.com

    The reply I got from WordPress did not address my issue. My domain name is already connected to one of my accounts with WordPress – Jimdo has nothing to do with it anymore. I need to find out which account that I created has my domain name connected to it so I can access it and then begin to upload my content. I need to create the website asap as I am applying for a job and need to have it up and running.

    Can you please help me get this problem resolved?

    Hi Marie, I think I understand now. Let’s see if we can help you untangle this.

    Right now, you are logged into WordPress.com with the email address you mentioned. The mariecanaves account has a different email address. Are you able to log out and log back into WordPress.com with that?

    Secondly, it looks like you may well have two sites. Once you’re logged into the correct account, we can help you sort out what action to take.

    If you aren’t sure how to get into the right account, please check all of your email addresses for any notifications about the site and any upgrades. When you know the right email, you can reset your login if needed.

    Also, I do want to point out that right now, http://mariecanaves.com/ has this error: “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN”

    The domain is pointed to some other host. If you had set up a site with another host, can you contact them to resolve that?

    If you meant to point the domain back to the site you once created here, we can help with that when you’re in the right account.
