  Specifically, will the blog that I have now be accessible online via the domain name I choose? In other words, will my blog be automatically accessed through the new domain name, without the ‘wordpress’ part?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That’s right — you can register a domain for your site at:
  https://wordpress.com/domains/

  It may take a few hours to take effect, and then you’ll be golden. :)
