domain name

    Hi there, when I signed up with WordPress’s free plan, I noted that having a ‘.com’ address would cost $13.30. I was just about to add this domain name, and have now seen that I need to be on a premium plan to get this, and with the premium plan, it states this domain name as ‘free’. Where has the option to just add a domain name for $13.30 gone? Without me having to be on the premium plan? I have done this in the past without joining the premium plan. This is why I choose to go with wordpress in the first place. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi there, additionally to this, in an urgency to get my site running, I thought I would purchase the ‘ angelikabarnes.com ‘ domain name with an external domain provider, planning to then map it to my free wordpress site; I then discovered that I can only do this if I am with ‘Premium’, this has not been the case in the past, and I am wondering when it has all changed and why?

    Can you please contact asap as I need to make a decision on what to do.
