  Good morning! I am just getting started with WordPress. I will be building a website for the organization I work for, which is a public health department. We already have a website but want to redesign it, so we already have an established domain name and want to keep it. Can I go ahead and build our site then pay to map our domain name and have our existing domain name attached to the website I build on WordPress?

  Yes. To do that you need to set up Domain Mapping, which is included with WordPress.com Premium:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
