  My domain name was inadvertently cancelled and I’m wondering what is my best course of action in getting it back. How long before it is available again? It is not a popular name so I don’t think it will be picked up.

  Hi there,

  Are you speaking of thefriskhomestead.com?

  Our logs show you cancelled that domain on 27 May.

  The domain has since gone through redemption, and has already been deleted by the registry. If it’s not showing as available to register yet, it should be within the next day or two, but that’s up to the registry that manages all .com domains on the web, so we’re not in control of this process.

  Yes, it was thefriskhomestead.com. It was prematurely cancelled. Ok, thank you so much. It is still showing not available so is there any way to retrieve it at this point? Thank you so much.

  Hi Erica,

  As @kokkieh explained, the domain expired and should become available for registration in a few days. So all you have to do is try and register it then.
