  I have tried to create an account with our existing name labda.org, but the dot has either disappeared – labdaorg or come up as a word – labdadotorg Neither of these are suitable. Can you help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi, how are you?

  In WordPress.com you can’t create a site with the name labda.org because of this your name was labdaorg.wordpress.com. When an account is created, only letters can use on your site name.

  Thank you, I tried with just labda, which is what we are called but it would not accept that. So I will just go back to old site and provider.

  @pap820 – If you are the owner of the domain labda.org you can map that to a WordPressdotcom site, but you would need to purchase either the Premium or Business bundle upgrade to do so.

  No, we are a charity and do not want to pay any more for the site, I was told Word Press was an easy free website.

  Hello again, free sites on WordPressdotcom are limited to using the yourname.wordpress.com type URL, so it seems that would not suit your purpose. Best wishes.
