  Hi, I made a site yesterday to try learn about word press. I then deleted this site to make the actual site but I realize the domain name I originally chose is no longer available. I thought maybe this was because although I have deleted the site, the domain has not been fully deleted. Is there any way I can find the same domain name? Or do I have to choose a new one?

  Unfortunately it is not possible. That’s why several warnings are given in order to accomplish deletion.

  However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or even better, you can purchase a WordPress.com plan, so you can hide the .wordpress.com part: https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/
