  Hi! I didn’t renew my blog subscription the last year but am ready to get things up and running again. I am trying to use that same domain name I had before, but it’s coming up as not available. How can I get my old website name back? Thanks!

  If you let a domain expire you are literally saying you don’t need it anymore. If someone buys ‘your’ domain there is no way te claim it.

  How do you know if someone bought it? If someone didn’t, is it possible to get back?

  Hi there,

  Is this in regards to jaimiepriamo.com? The domain is no longer registered with us. Unfortunately, it looks like domain squatters have purchased the domain and will probably charge a ridiculous amount for you to get it back from them.

  From here it says that you can work with a broker to get it back for $70, but don’t be surprised if it is more.

  If it ends up being a crazy amount, the biggest hope now is that they will drop the domain next year.

  I would suggest purchasing a different domain assuming you’re not willing to pay the squatting price.
