  hi,
  I have registered the domain grahamvyse.com and would like to move my website from grahamvyse.wordpress.com to grahamvyse.com.

  How can I accomplish this change?

  WP.com: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi, as I can see the domain grahamvyse.com was registered at register.com in 2008, and last renewed on September 15, 2022. It’s still hosted there.

  In that case, you have two options. If you go to Upgrades → Domains, click Add a domain in the top-right corner and select Use a domain I own from the drop-down menu. There you’ll see two options:
  1 – Transfer your domain.
  2 – Connect your domain.

  Note: In both cases, you’ll need a paid plan.

  1 – Transfer your domain.
  In that case, you’ll manage the registration and billing of the domain from WordPress.com. Before you transfer you’ll need to do two things with your current provider:
  1a – Unlock your Domain
  Your domain provider’s domain management interface should have an option for you to remove this lock. Some domain providers require you to contact them via their customer support service to request that they remove it.

  1b – Obtain Your Domain Transfer Authorization Code
  You will need to provide WordPress.com with a unique code from your current domain provider that will allow you to transfer the domain here.

  Read carefully the whole page about Transfering Domains and be sure to follow the steps listed there.

  2 – Connect your domain
  In this case, you’ll keep your domain with your current registrar, you’ll just point it to WordPress servers.
  As with the transfer instructions, read carefully the page about connecting (also known as mapping) your domain and be sure to follow all of the steps.
