If you register a domain with WordPress.com and later decide that you no longer want to use WordPress.com, but would like to keep the domain name for future use, you have two options:
1. You can use these instructions to point the domain to a new webhost:
2. You can use these instructions to transfer the domain registration to a new registrar or webhost permanently:

If rashmipitre.com is an available domain, you will be able to use it with the Personal plan.
the wordpress word will be deleted ?
That is correct, your site URL will display as rashmipitre.com instead of http://rashmipitre.wordpress.com/.

If I change the name servers to point to a new provider, don’t I also have to create at least a CNAME or an A record on the new name servers? Example; I have myname.com (registered at wordpress.com) and I tell it to use ns1.example.com as a name server, rather than the WP name servers. In addition to just pointing to the new name servers, don’t I have to create something on the new name servers to resolve where I want myname.com to resolve to? Without creating a CNAME or A record on the new name servers, they will not know where to resolve myname.com to?

Yes you would. I posted the instructions for changing nameservers previously. Here they are again:
You do not want to change both nameservers AND set up a CNAME/A record. That messes things up. You want to use one or the other. Your webhost would instruct you on which you should use for their system.
