    Hi there!

We don’t support incoming domain registration for .com.au domains, but there’s good news! You don’t have to transfer the domain to us. You can keep it with GoDaddy and point it to the WordPress.com nameservers. I see you’ve already added a domain connection, so the next step is adding the WordPress.com nameservers.

You can follow GoDaddy’s instructions here to change the nameservers on the domain. Make sure to remove the domaincontrol.com nameservers and keep only the three wordpress.com nameservers in the domain.

Once the nameservers are updated, it can take up to 72 hours for the changes to propagate. After that, you can set your domain as the primary address on your WordPress.com site. Here’s how:

    WP
Domains » Set a Primary Address

Your primary site address is the domain that people will see in their browser’s address bar when they visit your site. It is the address you use to promote your website. With a WordPress.com plan, you can set a custom domain as the primary site address. Without a paid plan, all custom domain(s) on the site will automatically redirect to your free .wordpress.com or .wpcomstaging.com site address

By the end of this, your domain will load your WordPress.com site without showing the wpcomstaging URL. :)

I’d also like to take this opportunity to learn more about the site you’re creating with us. Would you mind telling us more about your new site? What’s the site for, and what features do you need on the site? Based on your site requirements, we’ll be happy to share specific guides and suggestions and help you accordingly.

    Thanks!
